    TMAC Resources is looking to hire a Labourer to join the team. The Labourer will be responsible for the day-to-day support of the processing plant needs in order to ensure the highest standards are achieved in terms of safety, environment, personnel, efficiency, availability and product quality.

    This role will report to the Process Operations Supervisor. The position is located at the Hope Bay Project site in Nunavut, Canada. This position will require regular rotational travel to and from the site (2 weeks in / 2 weeks out rotation).


    • Perform tasks on the labourer crew to support the processing plant.
    • Lifting, carrying and moving of materials, tools and other supplies of up to 50lbs.
    • Shovel rock and ore around the different machines in the processing plant.
    • Required to climb stairs, ladders, and walk distances throughout a 12 hour work period.
    • Operate mobile equipment and power tools in a safe and correct manner.
    • Participate in daily safety meetings.
    • Help trades and operators with daily tasks.
    • Maintain proper housekeeping in assigned work area.
    • Ensure that the company has the capacity to achieve Zero Harm by actively identifying and reporting hazards using the site hazards reporting system.
    • Demonstrates awareness and commitment to health, community and environmental protection and takes action to ensure that unsafe practices or non-compliant behaviours do not occur.
    • Informs, involves and engages key internal and external stakeholders appropriately; develops and maintains positive relationships and represents TMAC positively in the community.
    • Other such duties as may be assigned.


    • Minimum Grade 10 English and Math education.
    • Minimum 1 year of labouring experience in the mining industry or similar industrial background is preferred.
    • Must be able to read blue prints and/or manuals to help trades and operators.
    • Hands on, self-sufficient and demonstrates a positive, can-do attitude
    • It is a bonafide work requirement of the job to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis
    • It is a bonafide work requirement of the job to be able to climb stairs and ladders.
    • Must be able to wear a respirator for periods of time.
    • Arctic experience is an asset.
