    TMAC Resources is looking to hire a Recruiter who will be responsible for the full scope of activities related to the recruitment cycle, implementing effective recruitment strategies and partnering with leaders to identify and attract top candidates. The position coordinates and facilitates all internal and external recruitment and selection activities as well as provide recruitment advice and support to the hiring managers involved in the selection process.


    This role will report to the Director, Human Resources. The position is located at our corporate head office in Toronto.


    • Source candidates for the Hope Bay operations and the Toronto office.
    • Facilitate the end to end recruiting process.
    • Responsible for effective management of the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
    • Ensure recruitment process is effective and follows the company’s IIBA. commitments as well as industry best practices and makes recommendations that drive process improvement.
    • Complete required reporting on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
    • Leverage online recruiting resources and ensure all external and internal posting sites are current.
    • Organize, plan and attend career fairs and community tours.
    • Coordinate the pre-employment checks for new hires.
    • Partner with the HR Team to create company branding and develops sourcing strategies to meet the company’s hiring needs.
    • Manage the recruitment processes and programs to ensure they are appropriately implemented as well as making ongoing improvements as appropriate.
    • Manage vendor relationships for third party Recruitment firms.
    • Develop and deliver training on the recruitment process and tools to hiring managers.
    • Establish & nurture effective networking relationships with internal and external partners.
    • Partner with the HR Team to develop and execute retention strategies.
    • Demonstrate awareness and commitment to health, community and environmental protection and take action to ensure that unsafe practices or non-compliant behaviours do not occur.
    • Inform, involve and engage the key internal and external stakeholders appropriately; develop and maintain positive relationships and represent TMAC positively in the community.
    • Other such duties as may be assigned.


    • A diploma or degree in Human Resource Management or Business Administration is required.
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in recruitment with a strong focus on sourcing tradespeople.
    • Knowledge of full cycle recruitment and best practices.
    • Experience with (ATS) applicant tracking system; experience with iCIMS is an asset.
    • Collaborative, professional team player with judgement to handle sensitive situations with tact, diplomacy and high ethical standards.
    • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
    • Strong project management and organizational ability, able to manage multiple activities and priorities.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
    • Familiarity in using social media (Facebook, LinkedIn) for recruiting.
    • Strong business professionalism and ethics along with an above average sense of creativity.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced results oriented environment.
    • Hands-on, self-sufficient and demonstrates a positive, can-do attitude.
    • Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office.
