TMAC Resources is looking to hire a Warehouse Operator to maintain the site inventory systems by working with site staff in multiple departments to ensure timely transportation, receiving and delivery of all goods while following established policies and procedures.


This is an important role with responsibility for the safe and efficient running of the warehouse. This position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor / Site Buyer located at the Hope Bay Project site in Nunavut, Canada. This position will require regular rotational travel to and from the site (2 week in / 2 week out rotation).


  • Accurately maintain site inventory through timely recording of transactions in the TMAC SAP based accounting system as well as maintaining up-to-date filing of all supporting documentation such as packing slips and manifests.
  • Perform cycle counts on a monthly basis.  Verify and investigate discrepancies.
  • Operate materials handling equipment and light vehicles to safely receive and deliver materials at site.
  • Lift and carry loads up to 20 kgs. in weight.
  • Work in a remote location.
  • Able to work in very cold temperatures.
  • Demonstrate awareness and commitment to health, community, environmental protection and take action to ensure that unsafe practices or non-compliant behaviours do not occur.
  • Inform, involve and engage internal and external stakeholders appropriately; develop and maintain positive relationships and represent TMAC positively in the community.
  • Other such duties as may be assigned.


  • Minimum 2 years of experience in warehousing and inventory management for remote camps.
  • Experience with an integrated inventory management and purchasing system. Experience with SAP desirable
  • Experience with Mine Rescue and/or Surface Fire-Fighting would be considered an asset.
  • Computer literacy including basic level Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
  • Ability to deal effectively in a fast-paced environment with high stress situations
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem solving
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Experience and training operating material handling equipment
  • Drivers’ license
  • Hands- on, self-sufficient and demonstrates a positive, can-do attitude
  • Arctic experience is an asset
